The Art of Giving Back: Every donation is a brushstroke that helps fill empty bowls across our community

Middle Georgia Community Food Bank, in partnership with Middle Georgia State University’s School of Arts & Letters—our host sponsor—is pleased to present the 2nd Annual Empty Bowls Fundraising Luncheon. The event will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This year, we are excited to welcome guests to a new venue — the beautiful Robert F. Hatcher, Sr. Conference Center in the Professional Sciences Center. The expanded space allows us to enhance the overall experience, including a more abundant luncheon offering that reflects the very heart of Empty Bowls: when we come together, empty bowls are filled — both symbolically and literally.

This inspiring event brings together leaders, advocates, and community partners to raise critical funds to combat food insecurity across our 24-county service area. Each guest will receive a ceramic bowl hand-crafted by students and community partners as an artful reminder that while we have food, many others do not. We invite you and your organization to support this effort as a Table Sponsor.

Sponsorship opportunities, ways we will celebrate your support, and ticket information are available in the sponsorship level details below.

This year’s theme, “The Art of Giving Back,” reminds us that every act of generosity matters — and that every donation is a brushstroke helping us create a community where no bowl is left empty. We hope you will join us for this special gathering of purpose and partnership.
